HugoNet is proud to announce a number of changes to the download limits of a number of our home ADSL broadband plans. Please see below for the full list of changes. Please note that all changes are to increase your download limits, none of the changes that we have made will be to your detriment.

• 256/64k Value Plan - Off peak download limit doubled to 500MB

• 256/64k Extreme Plan - Total download allowance increase to 2GB

• 512/128k Starter Plan - Peak data allowance doubled, off peak data allowance increase to 5Gb

• 512/128k Value Plan - Off peak data allowance increase to 20Gb

• 1500/256k Starter Plan - Off peak data allowance doubled to 10Gb

HugoNet would also like to announce a whole face lift to our Business Symmetrical (formally 'VPN') plans. HugoNet would like to advise all of its customers, that as of the 1st of October, 2007, we will be enforcing two new policy's regarding mail box limits. As of the 1st of October, all email mailbox's on our mail server will be capped at 35MB of storage space. Once your mailbox reaches or exceeds this size, you will no longer be able to receive new emails, until your mailbox is reduced in size, by deleting messages.

Also, we will enforce nightly purge of all email accounts Trash folders. Please be aware that all email in your trash folder are liable to be deleted on a nightly basis.

We have been forced to introduce this policy due the small minority of users that have been abusing their email privileges. With the new anti-spam measures that we have undertaken in the last month, we do not believe these limitations will impact many users.

In order to ensure that you will always be able to receive new messages, there are a few 'housekeeping' tasks that you can perform to ensure that your mailbox does not become bloated. Firstly, you can delete the messages out of your trash folder that you do not need any more. Emails in your trash folder will count towards your mailbox quota. You can also use a POP3 email client (such as Microsoft Outlook Express, or Incredimail). These will help to ensure that you do not exceed your quota.

HugoNet would like to advise all customers that over the previous month, we have invested a large amount of time and resources towards the war on SPAM. In response to the ever increasing level of spam that our customers have been receiving, we have implemented a host of new anti-spam mechanisms. These are designed to do two tings; firstly, we have a greater ability to block people who send spam messages to our customers, and secondly, we now have a greater ability to detect and remove spam before it reaches your Inbox.
